Senior Videographer

The Hype Factory is a creative production company based in Belfast, creating campaigns, brand films and social content for businesses across hospitality, automotive, corporate, fashion and more.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Videographer with a strong eye for cinematography and the confidence to direct talent, shape the visual approach and turn client briefs into compelling video.

You’ll be comfortable leading a shoot, working independently on smaller projects and collaborating with a wider crew on bigger productions. You’ll bring ideas to the table, stay organised, pay attention to the details and take projects from pre-production through to delivery.

The role

• Shoot and edit video across campaigns, brand content and social media.

• Lead shoots confidently, working with clients, talent, crew and freelancers.

• Take ownership of projects, helping shape briefs and delivering the work from start to finish.

• Work with our wider team to develop concepts, storyboards and creative approaches for larger projects.

• Prepare thoroughly for shoots, including shot lists, lighting plans and equipment requirements.

• Create content with an understanding of different platforms, formats and audiences.

• Work closely within the team to keep projects organised and meet deadlines.

• Respond thoughtfully to feedback and maintain a high standard through final delivery.

What we’re looking for

• A strong portfolio demonstrating your filming, lighting, editing and storytelling ability.

• Experience delivering commercial video projects independently and as part of a team, typically gained over four or more years.

• Confidence working with cameras, lighting and location sound across a range of settings.

• Strong editing skills in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

• A great understanding of pacing, colour grading, sound design and finishing.

• A good instinct for social content and what makes people watch.

• Reliable preparation, strong attention to detail and ownership of your work.

• A professional, approachable manner with clients and collaborators.

• The ability to manage your workload and deliver to deadlines.

Experience in After Effects and motion graphics would be welcome, but isn’t essential.

The role is based out of our Belfast office, with location shoots and occasional work outside normal office hours.
